Wherein the horizontal support is fixed on the canvas or board it can be lowered or raised with a rack system or pulley. Some include paint trays or storage compartments for accessories. Campaign easels are models of folding easels that can be easily transported and installed outdoors for landscape painting, for example.
Finally, a few words on easels with seat. These models are very useful for people who like to move easily with their equipment without too much clutter or being dependent on a specific place to paint or draw. This type of easel is especially recommended if you project to paint outdoors or in a public space (monument, portrait on the street ...). The seating position offered by the stool can help paint longer without discomfort. There are different sizes of seat easels and they often have the same settings characteristics than workshop easels.
